You can attempt to force a specific connection protocol such as SMB or AFP by using a valid URL. 3282020 If the Synology is sharing using AFP instead of SMB1 it cant read it. The title says it all. Then you can ignore the fact that you are using afp. Connect to Server by either pressing K or in the Finder menu bar at the top click on Go -.
Could you explain in what context you are talking about the afp and smb addresses.
9232010 Synology and Mac Time Machine SMB or AFP. My pfSense Avahi package is set to deny only one interface VLAN90 which is an IoT network and Synology is setup to broadcast AFP and Time Machine shares. 9232010 AFP is broken on synology and everywhere else. USB disk on Synology is a hit and miss I do not recommend it it is slow like USB2 speed most of the times. Go to your DiskStation menu button and open control panel then choose QuickConnect.
