Nikon 55 200 Vs 55 300. I have read of reviews on the 55-200mm VR and the 55-300mm VR II lens and not able to decide which one to go for. After coming up dry on 2nd hand I bought a Tamron 70 - 300. I now shoot with a D5300. 1222017 So 55-300 is A good cheap lensActually i want some thing different 55-300 is like everybody have it70-300 not so manyBut then the thing is i cannot compromise with the performanceThats the main reason for this discussionShould i go for 70-300 and take a chance or the good old 55-300.
Along with my over 27 years of experience owning Nikon SLR lenses I seriously doubt Nikon would make the 55-200mm a dud. The 70-300mm is also a good lens but geared more for FX DLSR users. As far as image quality is concerned you will only see the differences if you lay your shots made with different lenses right next to each other. 11292014 I have a 55-200 f4-56 kit lens that came with my D3100. The front lens of the 55-300 spins while focusing. If you are a starting photographer whos already tired with the kit lens that came with your camera you are probably looking for a camera with a bit more zoom to get farther shots without having to move very close to your target.
And when you notice a couple of running.
Focus speed is about the same as the 55-200. Since the 55-300 covers a longer total range than the 70-200 it pays a slight price in overall image quality. 6262012 Nikon 55-200mm vs 55-300mm. After coming up dry on 2nd hand I bought a Tamron 70 - 300. Coming back to your issue 55-300 is equally good but 70-300 is superior thanks to its VR II and ED elements. The 55-300 has more range at the lower end and a wider aperture at the long end.
