Ken Rockwell Sigma. Nikon D70s with Sigma 18-50. KRs test pictures look very similar in sharpness contrast etc. This lens has an angle of view when used on digital cameras with an APS-C size image sensor that is equivalent to a 12-24mm lens when used on a full frame sensor. Overall for anyone looking at potentially purchasing the Sigma 120-300mm f28 DG OS HSM I would recommend to take a serious look at its predecessor instead. It is a compact lens with an overall length of just 36 inches.
