If we could turn the clock back 73 years we could see the bend of the Snake River as Ansel Adams found it in his 1942 iconic image. Its one of the most scenic views in Grand Teton National Park and its popularity amongst visitors has been boosted by photographs by the renowned photographer Ansel Adams. The Snake River Overlook is a well-known stopping point in Grand Teton National Park and for good reason. We stopped at the Historic spot where Ansel Adams shot his famous Snake River Overlook photograph. From this vantage point one can see both the Snake River Valley and Grand Teton Range. The very spot he took this famous picture is right off of the main highway US-191 with one important caveat.
