Ansel Adams Snake River Overlook. You get a spectacular view of the Snake River leading up to the Grand Teton. Parc National des Grands Tetons Wyoming. 11232020 Snake River Overlook is a viewpoint on Hwy 89 between Moran Junction and Moose Junction. Many people have seen Ansel Adams famous black and white photo captured here.
This is a historic sight as Ansel Adams took his iconic photograph here in. While waiting around the mundane sky started to change as the sun was setting and before you know it we were blessed with some magic at the Snake River. If we could turn the clock back 73 years we could see the bend of the Snake River as Ansel Adams found it in his 1942 iconic image. Its one of the most scenic views in Grand Teton National Park and its popularity amongst visitors has been boosted by photographs by the renowned photographer Ansel Adams. From this vantage point one can see both the Snake River Valley and Grand Teton Range. 7192016 That view including a visitors information plaque about Ansels photo is located at the Snake River Overlook just off Highway 2689191.

The Snake River Overlook is a well-known stopping point in Grand Teton National Park and for good reason. We stopped at the Historic spot where Ansel Adams shot his famous Snake River Overlook photograph. From this vantage point one can see both the Snake River Valley and Grand Teton Range. The very spot he took this famous picture is right off of the main highway US-191 with one important caveat.
